- 6 Smokehouse Brats
- 12-15 slices cheddar cheese (or a variety of cheese flavors)
- 6 slices bacon
- 6 brat buns
- Cut lengthwise down the brat without cutting through ends or bottom, leaving casing intact at each end of brat.
- Once brat is cut open, push inside meat to the sides and form a “boat.”
- Add thin slices of cheese (sauerkraut and mustard can be added, if desired).
- Wrap one slice of bacon around each brat.
- Bake at 375o for 30 minutes or grill until cooked through.
